What does Ujima mean?
Ujima is the third Kwanzaa principle which represents collective
work and responsibility. It basically means to make our brother's
and sister's problems our problems and to solve them together. We
are collectively responsible for our achievements and
setbacks. We can help each other in order to become our ideal
selves.
"I wanted to incorporate Ujima into the business name because I
felt the principle embodied the philosophies behind counseling,
coaching, and consulting. Each of these services include working
collectively with others to provide a service, reach a goal, or
resolve an issue. I truly believe in the village mentality and
hope for Ujima Counseling, Consulting, and Coaching LLC to
empower others and help solve issues within our communities."
